A Certified Allied Health Technician is a Level 1 paraprofessional certification in either occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, psychology or other professions related to the field of developmental disorders.

Requirements
Before you proceed, please confirm that you have the required information and documents ready to submit with your application.
- A minimum of 21 years old
- Possess a diploma in the relevant field
- Complete applicable training in their field of expertise
- Be recommended by supervisor or trainer
- Complete a criminal background check
- Complete a 40 hour training in behaviour analysis
- Pass the NIsBEC competency exam
Additional Information
- Agree to the NIsBEC Professional and Ethical Code of Conduct
- All eligibility criteria will be reviewed by the NIsBEC Board before formal acceptance
- Placement on NIsBEC registry
- Renewed every 2 years
- Obtain 10 CEUs within the renewal cycle
