An Advanced Certified Special Education Professional is a Level 3 professional certification in special education.
ACSEP’s provide education services for individuals with intellectual , developmental, social, emotional, and behavioural problems within a school and other environment.

Requirements
Before you proceed, please confirm that you have the required information and documents ready to submit with your application.
- Possess a Master’s degree
- Possess a minimum of 5 years school experience
- Be recommended by a member of the special education community
- Complete a criminal background check
- Pass the NIsBEC exam
Additional Information
- Agree to the NIsBEC Professional and Ethical Code of Conduct
- All eligibility criteria will be reviewed by the NIsBEC Board before formal acceptance
- Placement on NIsBEC registry
- Renewed every 2 years
- Obtain 20 CEUs within the renewal cycle
